Grand Prize: An Apple Macbook Pro 15" Laptop Computer ($2500 value)

Entry Deadline: March 31st, 2007

Purpose: The stories submitted during the contest will be the first to be featured on a brand new concept in online entertainment: superplot.com, a word market.

Rules: The story can be written in any genre, but must be less than 2,500 words double-spaced. No images. The submission should consist of a title and the body. Family members of judges and employess of Superplot.com are not eligible.

Judges: The stories will go through two stages of judging. The first set of judges will be made up of readers, who will determine what stories belong in the final round of judging. The second set of judges will be established professionals who will vote on the strengths and/or weaknesses of the finalists.

Hints: Story is about emotional change. Write about something that has universal appeal and that is clear in its development from the initial state to the end state. The change between these two states should have impact that results in a climax with entertainment value. The greatest stories are not about events, but about how people react to those events on an emotional level.
